My amazing husband.
"Write out the baby's schedule and please find someone to relieve me at some point.", he said. I laughed on the inside as I finally felt appreciation and a sense of purpose in the chaos I embrace everyday. My husband is the first person to show his appreciation, but to see him look so desperate for help in the things I have mastered makes me feel like what I do is actually "something".
What we do as moms is not easy. Yes, there are down times, nap times, and a couch to resort to when needed, but the pulls, tugs, questions, needs, and chores are endless. I believe, for the most part, we make it look easy. Despite the challenges, I embrace the beauty of it all, and I know I was definitely created for this purpose.
I have emailed him the baby's schedule and I have lined up a sitter for an overnight stay so that my husband and the older two can go do something fun without the strain a baby can bring. When I called to tell my husband I had made the arrangements for a babysitter, he was relieved and told me how much he appreciated me.
This is going to be an interesting week! I will keep you posted!
