Keep Moving...Forward that is.
Little negative whispers can keep us from our full potential as women in our modern culture and busy lifestyles. We may start something and something inside of us, birthed from fear of the unknown, can cause us to take steps backwards instead of forwards. I am not at all a believer in luck or the random fortune cookie that you may get while eating take out on the weekends, but today I received an ironic message in my fortune cookie while eating with friends. It read, "Do not underestimate yourself, your social skills are needed by others at this time." I have been writing for a couple of months now...and just like with anything that you start new... it can become an issue of whether or not it is worth your time and effort. So, when I received this message, I embraced it with great zeal! I was excited. I thought it was neat... Another encouraging word to put on my mirror to see every morning. We all have things that we can contribute in our lives and into the lives of others. Don't stop giving just because YOU question whether you are making a difference or not. Just keep moving... forward that is!

Hi Jennifer! It is really neat when God gives us little confirmations like that. I recently received a fortune cookie paper that said, "You have a charming way with words, you should write a book!" I laughed. I am writing a book :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking I needed to follow some mommy blogs in addition to the writing blogs I follow and I saw your link on Facebook. I'm a momma of a three year old and a one year old. Fun times... :-)
Wow! Congratulations on your second baby! I knew you had another one but haven't congratulated you. Blessings on the book you are writing. How exciting! You do have your hands full with two toddlers. Definitely a fun time in your life. Live it up! Thanks for posting!
