Yesterday was a very successful day. We learned all about "magnets" and their force. We read a lot to each other, and finished all of our book work. I also got caught up on laundry by getting the four loads of clean clothes put up that have sat by my bed for the past week. There is a huge sense of accomplishment in having your husbands underwear and socks put away! So, I pat myself on the back for that one.
My middle man, Isaac has been exploring his adventurous side ever since we saw the amazing Hulk on the new Avengers movie, and tries to "Hulk-Up" when he gets upset by telling me, "Now, I am mad.". It's a little bit scary for a momma to see this anger coming out of their child...so we had to assure him that this was not appropriate behavior and he needs to talk to mommy instead of "Hulk Smashing" his big brother when he loses an argument or doesn't get his way. He surprises me every time we work on memorization (alphabet, numbers, etc.), and book work. He too is a very smart kid! He answered some of the questions on Aiden's oral quiz yesterday on magnets. Aiden looked at him in awe.
Aiden, my oldest has been a super good boy helping around the house and completing his chore list everyday. What's wrong with this kid!? Just kidding... All of my boys are such an amazing blessing and all three so different. He has a loose tooth and he won't let us pull it. The other tooth is coming in so it causes him a little bit of pain. I remember how scary it was to lose a tooth at his age. We used to tie a string to our tooth at one end and tie the other end to a door knob and slam the door shut. That works! But we won't try that at our house. He is terrified of what it is going to feel like.
This life has so much meaning and our purpose is right in front of us. Thank you, Jesus for allowing me one more day to make a difference in the lives of my children! So, onto another day of "mommy-hood". Let the fun begin!
