Sometimes it would be a really cool rock or a "treasure" that shouldn't have been out there, like an old glass bottle...It really didn't matter.
I remember, there were many times I would come home with baby catfish or my neighbors goose eggs from their muddy pond. (I got into a little bit of trouble for that one.)
I would bring home anything and everything I had never seen before, clean it off in the bathroom sink, and then display it in my room. Yes, I was a little bit of a tomboy, but it was fun. It was fun to seek and then to really FIND something.
There are things for us to explore everyday, even as an adult. The adventurous little girl comes out in me whenever I discover something in the Word of God that I have never read. Every time the Lord speaks to me through His Word, my heart goes back to the time when I would sit on my bed and admire the treasures I had found. But to hear Him speak audibly or through His written word is much more of a treasure than a bucket of baby mud catfish...
29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29
New International Version (NIV)
When is the last time you brought home
a treasure for your heart?
Seek Him today. There is so much to DISCOVER!
