I don't know about you, but I have really enjoyed my summer break with my boys. We didn't really do anything crazy or go on any wild trips. We simply relaxed together. It was this "-lax" in my daily routine that has caused me to post less often than usual. Eh. It's summer...But as I am gearing back up for school days, it seems to all be coming back to me. Thank goodness.
This evening I took the boys school supplies shopping. I think this was really their first trip to go pick out school supplies, and boy were they excited! We first picked out their backpacks and then made our way to the crowded aisle of everything marked "Crayola", and overpriced character supplies that my boys just had to have. My oldest picked out everything with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on it, and Isaac chose the Avengers.
When we got home, they prepared their backpacks and didn't even want to go to sleep because they were so ecstatic about their new things. The new school year is less than two weeks away for us, and preparation is an understatement.
I will be working from home and homeschooling them, so all prayers are welcome (laughing to myself). I might be crazy, but I know it will work out and be worth it.
I couldn't even attempt all of this without the support from my husband. He has been helping me around the house while I study and he promises me that everything will be ok if the house is not in tip top shape all of the time. We will see. (As if our house is always in tip top shape anyway...)
So, in your planning and preparing to either send your child off to school or begin your new homeschool year!
Blessings and Progress Friends! Blessings and Progress!
