The Checklist

Hopping in the car I run through my checklist in my mind.  This is the new checklist...the checklist that includes a new baby, car seat, diaper bag, ALL of the baby essentials, my other two children, my personal belongings... and the list seems to be endless.  But since it is my third child I can get through the list quickly in my mind to make sure that I haven't forgotten anything.  As my thoughts are coming to a close, and I am starting up the car I had to be talking to myself out loud because my three year old says, "You got your good attitude, mom?"

I looked at him in the rearview mirror with pride.  I couldn't believe he just said that.  How many times have I left the house without my good attitude?  How many times has that ruined my afternoon?  How awesome would it be to make sure that I have this every time I leave the house... or every time I wake up for that matter.

I was so proud of my son sitting in the back seat looking out the window into the sunshine with a huge smile on his face.  I replied, "Yup!  I've got my good attitude! Do you have your good attitude?" He quickly responded with a "Yes, mom."

I just wanted to share this nugget of wisdom from my little man.

"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus."

"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
