This week marks the beginning of the second week that we have been home since our little baby boy, Eli, was born prematurely with some complications. We are so grateful to be home with him and appreciate the hundreds of people who prayed for him during the fight for his life. Eli was born at 37 weeks which is common, but not for our family. This is our third little boy and my body was ready to deliver early despite our desires to stay pregnant for another week or two. His lungs were not completely developed. He developed a small hole in his lung while in the NICU. We spent two weeks in the NICU with our baby and thank goodness for family and friends and the strength of the Holy Spirit that helped us through.
I am almost completely recovered now and so grateful for my little boy and my little family. My family feels complete with the birth of Eli. My husband and I have three little boys, ages 6, 4, and 3 weeks. We also have a Weimaraner that we claim as part of the family. I am excited to get back into a routine and start back to homeschooling the boys this week. God is good and His grace is sufficient.
